This year has flown by for me. Okay, it hasn't and it has. I think when I say that I mean, I am just realizing that this is my last year with Ellie before she starts Kindergarten in the Fall and I don't feel like I've spent the quality time with her that I would have liked to. The last several months I've tried making more of an effort in our relationship and it has paid off. When the boys were in school and Zoe was down for a nap, I'd take her with me to run errands or we'd sit outside and eat fudgesicles together. My friend Barb posted a picture of her Fairy Garden. What is a Fairy Garden you ask? It is a magical garden (or a large pot of plants and flowers) with cute little mini-fairy furniture things, like a chair or bridge or bike... really, the list goes on. I didn't really know these were a thing until I checked it out on Pinterest and you can get REALLY involved if you want to! Or as tacky as you want. Haha! I showed Ellie some pictures and we were both immediately excited about all of our little ideas. And overwhelmed. I was anyway. You can do so much with these, so we started pretty simple. It didn't take long and it gave Ellie the responsibility of watering her very own little "garden" and checking to see if she has spotted any fairies. She told me she HAS seen a fairy and she has purple sparkly wings and her name is Leesha. I love her imagination and I love that we did that together. Sadly, with our move I accidentally left it with Granny, ...and I don't know how well she's taking care of Leesha's garden since I didn't give her any instruction to do so. Haha! Oh well. We will just have to plant another one together. Maybe Leesha will find us again.
